Introducing Maryann Bacsik


Maryann is a full time, professional genealogist. She has experience with US and international heirship cases.  Maryann has led workshops and lectured on general genealogy as well as specialized ethnic research.

A graduate of William Paterson University with a BA degree in elementary education, Maryann also obtained a Paralegal Certificate from Montclair State University.   She combined her love of family history with her fifteen years of legal experience to create her dream job as a genealogist.  In 2007 Maryann formed her own business, Finding Yesterday’s Children.

Maryann has been providing genealogical services for forensic and family research since 2005, specializing in New Jersey, New York and Eastern European genealogy.  She is a member of the New York Metro and New Jersey Chapters of the Association of Professional Genealogists and many genealogical societies.  She will be attending her second Forensic Genealogy Institute in Dallas in March 2015.
